In 2013, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope and Patriarch of the great city of Alexandria and the See of St. Mark was presented with the mission and vision of St. Cyril of Alexandria Orthodox Christian Society. His Holiness inquired about the activities offered by the Society and encouraged and granted his blessings for the activities offered by the Society. Subsequently, the Society updates His Holiness of all activities on yearly basis.
In 2014, His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Karim, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and the Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church was presented with the mission and vision of St. Cyril of Alexandria Orthodox Christian Society. His Holiness discussed the various activities offered by the Society and granted his blessings and support for the Society.

We welcome book proposals. A complete proposal submission must consist of the following:
1. Your Academic Resume.
2. One sample chapter.
3. For dissertations only: a letter from your dissertation advisor (or examiners) recommending your work for publication.

Saint Cyril of Alexandria Orthodox Christian Society (SCS) is delighted to announce its academic partnership with the Alexandria School Journal (ASJ) published by The Monastery of St. Mary – Baramos and St. George Coptic Orthodox Church (Sporting), Alexandria, Egypt. The ASJ (ISSN: 1687-9902) is an Arabic academic periodical published twice a year. SCS will start publishing the ASJ in its new English edition once a year in September. The English edition of ASJ will follow formal academic guidelines in accordance with modern standards and practices of American academic institutions. 2016 Call for Papers
Scholars, theologians and students are invited to submit paper proposals for volume 3 of the Alexandria School Journal. The Journal is looking to engage with constructive articles that address Orthodox theological topics in all its aspects whether spiritual, philosophical, biblical, liturgical, historical, linguistic, patristic, dogmatic, mystical or practical. We also encourage engagement with Arab-Christian literature and Syriac, Ethiopian, Armenian literature. This year the Journal is accepting paper proposals on various topics, there is no specific theme.
Abstracts of no more than 200 words should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org before June 1st, 2016. An acceptable paper will be approximately 3500-5000 words and will adhere to the Chicago manual of style. Papers must be sent by August 1st, 2016. The Journal will be published by September 15th, 2016.

The Alexandria School Journal (ISSN 1687-9902) is published once a year. The subscription price which includes delivery by air where appropriate is:
